The Gilded Roses - Gilded, Stenciled Flowers on a Vintage book page in a Texturised Frame

I call this one Gilded Roses - A book page, that literally fell out of an old book that was headed for the trash is given new life with stenciled flowers gilded with gold gilding wax. The rescued page is double framed with cream and white colored wood. Clay roses and leaves adorn parts of the frame, and are starting to overtake the actual book page itself. The Roses and leaves are also accented with gold gilding wax. This results in a beautiful, almost sepia looking picture that will capture and reflect light at certain angles. Each Rose and leaf are hand moulded and gilded. The modeling paste flowers were applied via a stencil. This picture is a combination of several concepts that looks slightly different each time you look at it. Beautiful gift for Mother's Day, or anyone with a June Birthday (Roses are the birth flower for June) or someone who loves roses and/or flowers. Also would look great as a simple addition to your wall decor. Simple, elegant and eye catching.
